Situation

City Awakening Church commissioned Leslie Gray Photography (an Executive Thought Partners, LLC brand) to film testimonial videos for the members as part of a ministry project titled “Our Year of Transformation.”  Mike and Kristen Coleman were one of three members who talked about how City Awakening transformed their lives. Tasks & Actions

The team and I consulted with their team, Louis Tamburro, the Lead Pastor, and Zack Casey, the Executive Pastor, regarding the message and interview questions.  Then we set up one Production Day on a Sunday.  We lit the scene in basic three-point lighting with three camera angles. Why? Mostly because we wanted to create editing options as we were getting unscripted answers.  We utilized Sony and Nikon cameras and a Panasonic Camcorder.  We edited the project in Adobe Lightroom, PremierePro, created reusable motion graphics in After Effects and added licensed music from AudioBlocks. We also captured about 150 images of Sunday service to have digital assets for their website and social media platform.

Results

City Awakening shared the three videos in November and December 2019 over three weeks of Sunday services videos.  They also posted them on Facebook and Instagram.  They told us that the videos were well-liked by the Congregation and received hundreds of likes as well.  Most importantly, they were able to share the effect of Christ’s love to many people.
